Rene (Freeman) Owens

Rene Freeman Owens, age 52 of Burnsville, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 7th, 2021 at Care Partners Solace Center in Asheville. A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late R.V. and Cynthia Whitson Freeman. She was also preceded in death by an infant son.

Rene enjoyed her crafts, spring time and her flowers.

Surviving is her husband of 33 years, James Owens; a sister, Rachel Freeman and wife, Jolene Matson, of Chicago; special neighbors: David and Ginger Shepherd, and Kellie Shepherd; close friend, Becky Whitson; and her special crafting friend, Kathy Boings.

Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, April 14th at 12 p.m. in the Allen Cemetery in Burnsville.
