Pansy Byrd

Pansy Byrd, age 89 of Burnsville, passed away Tuesday, April 6th, 2021 at Smoky Ridge Health & Rehabilitation. A native of Yancey County, she was the daughter of the late George and Ida Phillips Byrd. She was also preceded in death by brothers: Rex, Hobert, Arcemus, Elmer, Luther and Jack Byrd; sisters: Millie, Nola, Sarah and Laura.

Surviving is her son, Charles Byrd of Burnsville; one brother, Earl; and also, numerous cousins.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 10th in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends and loved ones an hour prior to service time. Burial will take place in the Byrd Cemetery at Piney Hill in Burnsville.
