HP "Budge" Deyton

HP (Budge) Deyton, age 90 of Burnsville, went Home to be with the Lord on March 8, 2023. A native of Yancey County, he was the son of the late Marshall and Carrie Edwards Deyton. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Daryl Deyton; half-brothers: Kenneth Deyton, Wilburn Deyton, and Ronnie Deyton; sisters: Hassie Deyton, Julie McCurry, and Jean Laws; and half-sister, Kathy Deyton.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Ida Biddix Deyton; sons: Mark (Pat) Deyton, and Henry Paul Deyton; brother, Bill Deyton; half-brothers: Lee Howard Deyton, Sam Deyton, and Friel Deyton; sister, Dorothy Green; half-sister, Carolyn Deyton; grandchildren: Jeremy Deyton, Brittany Deyton, Jacob Deyton, and Emmit Budge Deyton; as well as Christine Deyton who was just like a daughter to Budge, and Betty Green and Jerry Woody who were also special to the family.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home. The family will accept friends and loved ones one hour prior to the service for visitation. Reverend Lou Franklin will officiate. Burial will follow the service in the South Estatoe Baptist Church Cemetery in Burnsville, NC.
