Frank "Frankie" Chandler, Jr.

Frank “Frankie” Chandler, Jr., age 52, of Hardscrabble, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 30th, 2022 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. A native of Yancey County, he was the son of Joann Mathis Chandler and the late Frank Chandler, who passed away in 2014. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his uncle, Creed Edwards.

He owned and operated Chandler’s Automotive and Tire Center in Swannanoa, NC, with his wife. He was also a loyal lifelong member of Elk Shoal Baptist Church.

Left to cherish his loving memory is his wife, Karen Michelle Chandler, of the home; daughter, Dr. Samantha Mae Chandler, of Burnsville, and her fiancé, Brandon Veasey, of Norfolk, VA; mother, Joann Mathis Chandler of Burnsville; aunt, Mary Ann Edwards of Burnsville.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 2nd, 2022 at Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home in Burnsville at 2 o’clock. The family will receive friends and loved ones an hour prior to service time. Reverend Andrew Thomas will officiate. Interment will follow in the Troy Mathis Cemetery in Burnsville, NC. Pallbearers will be Tom Johnson, Sterling Haney, Donald Banks, Mike Dickson, Jerry Willis, and Mike Robinson.
