Estalene (Barnett) Bennett

Estalene Barnett Bennett, 86, of Burnsville went home Saturday, July 4th, 2020. A native of Mitchell County, she was a daughter of the late Arkie and Rhea Barnett. She was the wife of James Bennett, who died in 1993. She was preceded in the death by sister Juanita Hylemon; brother, Teddy Barnett and also an infant daughter, Angela.

Estalene was a retired employee of Hampshire Hoisery. A woman of the Baptist Faith, she was a gracious Christian lady whom was loved and adored by her grandchildren.

Surviving are children: Joan Anglin and husband Dan, Kathy Peterson and husband Edward, Diane Hunter and a son Steve Bennett and wife Joan, all of Burnsville; grandchildren: Vicky, Anthony, Vanessa, Danise, Melissa and Misty; great-great grandchildren: Hunter, Adrian, Catalina, Ashlyn, Aubrey and Isaac; sisters: Yvonne Peterson of Green Mountain, Maphrey Ray of Burnsville, Annette Deal of Alabama and Nancy Sue Peterson of Weaverville; brother, Cleave Barnett of Johnson City, Tennessee.

Private Family Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel of the Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Huntdale Cemetery located at Green Mountain.
