Dale Edward England

Dale England, age 63 of the Indian Creek community, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, January 6th, 2021. A native of Yancey County, he was a son of the late Edd England and Helen Deyton England of Burnsville.

Dale was a realtor and former Yancey County Commissioner, he owned and operated Green Cove Real Estate in Burnsville for many years. He also enjoyed farming and tending the land. He was a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church and Bald Creek Masonic Lodge #397 A.F. & A.M. Dale loved his family very much.

In addition to his mother, surviving is his loving wife of 24 years, Doreen Curtis England; children: Jason Shepherd and partner Lynn of Burnsville, Rev. Jonathan England and wife Shannon of Crossville, TN, Wesley England and wife Averi of Burnsville; sister, Donna Daniel and husband Mark of Columbia, TN; brothers; Philip England and wife Brenda and Joe England and wife Retha, all of Burnsville; and two grandsons, Gus and Max England.

Graveside Services will be held Thursday, January 7th at 2 p.m. in Green Cove Cemetery at Dale’s home. His son, Rev. Jonathan England, and Charlie Foster will officiate. The family wishes for memorial donations to be made to Indian Creek Baptist Church, in care of Susan England at 196 Old Orchard Lane, Burnsville, NC 28714.
