Carrie (Laws) Bennett

Carrie Lee Laws Bennett, age 64 of Spruce Pine, passed away Wednesday, November 18th, 2020 at her home. A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Marie Fox Laws.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Benny Laws; sisters, Ruby Laws and Verda Smith Laws; and nephew, Jeremiah Hoilman.

Surviving are a brother, David Laws of Jonesborough, TN; a sister, Mary Cook of Burnsville; fiancée, Ronnie Cook; a nephew whom she viewed as a son and loved dearly, Jeffrey Laws and wife Carrie and sons, David and Elijah Malachi; other nephews, Brandon and Steven and niece, Clarissa; a special brother-in-law, Ricky Woodby and numerous other family members and friends.

Private Graveside Services will be held Saturday, November 21st in the Beaver Cemetery on Saw Mill Hollow Road at 3 p.m. Reverend David Cook will officiate.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to dear friends, Roy and Mary Crisp and Tracy, along with Compassionate Care Western North Carolina. Memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
