Bernice (Williams) Fox

Bernice Williams Fox, 84, of Boone Branch, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday July 28th, 2020 at her daughter’s home. A native of Yancey County, she was the daughter of the late Sammie and Lonnie Honeycutt Williams.

Bernice was a retired employee of Baxter healthcare and she attended Claymound Baptist Church.

She was the wife of the late Melvin Fox. She was also preceded in death by her sons: Jerry Wayne Fox, Jimmy Dean Fox, Melvin Richard Fox and Gary Lee Fox; sisters: Martha Ray and Cindy Yelton; brother, James Williams; granddaughter, Loretta Lee Hensley.

Surviving are her daughters Vicky Fox of Forest City, Linda Hensley and husband “Cat” of Burnsville; sisters, Wilma Jean Fisher of Marion and Betty Alice Williams of Morganton. Also 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be held at noon, Saturday, August 1st, 2020 in the Sol Fox Cemetery in Burnsville. Rev. John Burrell and David Garland will officiate.
